I’m an erstwhile student of philosophy and political theory, an ardent believer in the power of capitalism and democracy, and an aspiring artist and scientist (in the broadest sense of both words). I believe in science as the ultimate tool to understand our world and that human expression through creation gives this understanding meaning. Work is one of the most important mediums for human creativity, which is a fancy justification for my adherence to the old adage, “love what you do”. Therefore, I have chosen to create through my adopted profession of brewing. After a challenging and fulfilling 8-year stint in an “engineering” and management role at Bell’s Brewery, I have set off, with my lovely wife, for my paternal homeland: Germany. Here, I am studying brewing at the VLB in Berlin through June 2017.
